To our Discovery Camp Groups, Country Camp 120 Partners and Ministry Friends:

Since 1989, it has been our honor to Build and Bless His Church through our Discovery Camp’s summer program. More than an outreach, it has proven to be an outpouring of His Holy Spirit upon thousands of churches and more than half-a-million children, teens and their heroic adult leaders. Thank you for trusting our leadership for thirty-two years to make decisions which will best serve you, your church and your family.

After a significant season of prayer, and in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the difficult decision to forgo this summer season of Discovery Camp 2020 has been made. Amid continued health and travel concerns during this difficult time, and the leading of the Holy Ghost regarding the days ahead, our BMI Board of Directors felt that this was the most responsible decision for our pastors, partners and friends.

Three Questions
These questions are the thought process we have often used to make vital decisions.

1. What is the Holy Spirit saying to the Church?

2. How can we support pastors better?

3. Is there guiding information from professionals or civil authorities?

Using this time-proven formula, we can agree that our priority is the health and safety of our visiting churches, but a close second, is our commitment to pastors. This decision to cancel DC 2020 will prevent pastors and parents from being forced to make the difficult choice whether to support their beloved visit to Discovery Camp or disappoint their young parishioners. We are with you.

   We at BMI look forward to serving you and your church in the near future with some familiar and some new ministry opportunities that we believe with continue in our mission to Build and Bless His Church.

We will miss you all deeply, but we believe the Holy Spirit is leading pastors and parents to use their energy this summer to focus on their families and local communities of faith. It’s your time to shine!
