To our faithful Friends and Partners,
We all find ourselves in the midst of a global situation with respect to COVID-19. At BMI, we are responding in faith, instead of reacting to surrounding fears.
It is important for all of us to continue to walk in faith for health and protection regarding COVID-19 as well as use wisdom and take the precautionary steps in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all of our outreaches.
Let us never forget that Jesus Christ is Lord over the Coronavirus and we stand in faith and prayer with governmental officials, medical professionals and scientific researchers as they lead the world through this unfolding situation.
Here our some updates and responses to the respective BMI outreaches:
At Believers World Outreach Church
Saturday’s Kamp Katy outreach will be rescheduled to a time where it can have it’s intended impact within the community.
We will not be gathering for either Sunday Celebration (9:00am or 11:00am) on March 15, 2020.
We are encouraging our community to gather in their homes and engage with us online. From our website, bwoc.cc, you can expect content to help you pray, worship, give online, study God’s Word together, and keep the kids involved. Some of our Faith Families will be gathering, but all families can and should step up to this kind of opportunity to reach out if they are able. You see the full update to our Church Family at bwoc.cc/update
At Country Camp
We will be re-focusing our Spring Season for the upcoming Men’s Advance to join with the Fall Season for fellowship and unity. Information for those who have already signed up can be reviewed at CountryCamp.org.
We are monitoring and in communication with local, state, and national guidance, as well as other like-faith organizations as we stay up-to-date with best practices and we prepare for our 32nd summer season of Discovery Camp. All summer camps and DC Explorer sessions will remain as scheduled.
At Texas Bible Institute
Classes will be suspended on campus at 12:00pm, Friday, March 13.
Campus will be available until 5:00pm, Saturday, March 14. Scheduled meals will continue to be available until campus closes.
All students are required to depart from campus during this unplanned timeline.
Remote classes will be available March 17 – March 20. Information will be sent in the upcoming days.
On-campus classes are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, March 24.
When students return:
- Dorms will have extra hand sanitizers in addition to the pre-existing ones.
- Food Services will review and continue to up-hold current safety recommendations.
- Each bed in each room will be inspected and anointed with oil as we declare divine health over each TBI Student.
We believe through the leading of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of other professionals focused on this matter, these decisions are in the best interest of the people BMI has been called to serve. We encourage you to honor the information and instructions provided by your local and regional leadership as they would have a greater understanding on how this situation is affecting your surrounding area.
Thank you for your continued trust in Burchfield Ministries International. We will continue Build and Bless His Church and honor the Lord Jesus Christ with every future decision regarding this unfolding situation.
